Crease reigns supreme in muddy trial

WESSEX Centre kingpin Colin Crease won the Frome club's supertough Bradley Cup trial at Leighton in mid-Somerset.

Staged in Asham Woods, conditions worsened for the 70-oddcontestants with the onset of heavy rain and many of the 12 sections,which lapped four times, claimed a minimum loss of three marks.

Southern Centre challenger Wayne Holdsworth was Crease's closestrival and they were separated by just four marks at the finish.

Five of the 120 solos in action in the Exmoor club's long-distance trial on Exmoor retained clean sheets.

This caused organisers to refer to times on the special tests todetermine the destination of the awards.
