A committee seeking to raise money for a new playground at the Shaker Road Elementary School has raised more than half its $60,000 goal and plans to start building the facility in early June, according to Steve Zych, a project coordinator.
Zych and other project committee members were at the school Friday afternoon erecting signs about the playground.
