NSW: Police officer suspended on pay after alleged rape
A New South Wales police officer has been suspended on pay after allegedly raping a
female officer.
Police say the 37-year-old senior constable from the Northern Region has been charged
with sexual intercourse without consent.
They say the charge follows an alleged incident at a Port Macquarie house on Saturday night.
The man was charged after the female officer made a formal complaint on Monday.
The officer was granted bail and is due to face Port Macquarie Local Court on March 3.
