NSW:Celebrity hairdresser charged with indecent assault
SYDNEY, Aug 30 AAP - Celebrity hairdresser Eddie Azzi has been charged with indecent
assault against three females, a court has been told.
Azzi, 40, whose plush salon in the Sky Gardens Shopping Centre is used by top models
and actors, did not appear at Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court today.
According to the charge sheet, Azzi is accused of five charges of indecent assault
against three women between February last year and June this year.
His counsel told the court Azzi, who is on bail, did not appear for today's proceedings
because of the waiting media outside the court.
Magistrate Mary Jerram ordered Azzi to appear at the next hearing set for September 21.
The hairdresser recently won a high profile case against the Sky Garden centre in Pitt
Street who wanted to evict him before the end of his lease for renovations.
